'Rising star' series to put emphasis on students

In an effort to recognize students who stand out among their peers academically, athletically, artistically or in their attitudes, the Enterprise will feature two county students each month in a piece called Catch a Rising Star.

Goudschaal to speak in Northport

A Northport resident will present a program on 20 of the most interesting boats in the area from 1845-1900 as part of the Northport Area Heritage Association's monthly meeting Oct. 18.

Leland School sets farmer's market

Leland Public School will host an indoor farmer's market on Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m.
The market will provide an opportunity for children to learn more about the local agricultural community and to reach families that may not already be visiting these markets.
