Leland Public School will host an indoor farmer's market on Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m.
The market will provide an opportunity for children to learn more about the local agricultural community and to reach families that may not already be visiting these markets.
Farmers will get up their stands in the high school gymnasium. Elementary students will attend with their teachers at regular intervals early in the afternoon and secondary students will come through later in the afternoon. Farmers will provide students with information about their products and also a snack of fresh fruit or vegetables.
Children are encouraged to bring money to allow them to select and purchase the farm products. Parents are welcome to attend before or after they pick up their children from school. The community is also welcome.
