1945-2007

Funeral services will be held today, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m., at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay, for Carson Glenwood Bardenhagen of Lake Leelanau who died Oct. 7 at Munson Medical Center. He was 62.

He was born in Traverse City on March 24, 1945, the son of Leonard Bardenhagen and Eleanor Gauthier. On May 28, 1972, he married Christie Ann Steck, who survives.

He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of staff sergeant. He returned to Leelanau County and owned and operated Bardenhagen Electric in Lake Leelanau. He enjoyed spending time in the Upper Peninsula, gardening and fishing.

Also surviving are his three sons, Joshua (Dawn), Adam (Kayda) and Joel (Naomi), all of Lake Leelanau; a brother, Duane (Betty) Bardenhagen of Lake Leelanau; a sister, Barbara (Mark) Belanger of Leland; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
