Gerard and Lorri Belanger of Lake Leelanau have announced the birth of their granddaughter, Lydia Faye Vereecken.

Lydia, born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids on Oct. 3, weighed 6 lbs., 11 oz. and measured 201⁄2 inches in length. She is the daughter of Richard and Tanya (Belanger) Vereecken of Grand Rapids.

Great-grandparents are Wesley and Pat Holton of Northport and the late Rutherford and Faymarie Belanger of Lake Leelanau.
