The Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting and dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Timberlee Hills in Elmwood Township.

Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. Silent and live auction items will be given away. Ray Pleva is the auctioneer.

Cost for dinner is $35 for chamber members, and $45 for non-members.

The Citizen of the Year award will also be presented.

Among those likely to attend the annual gathering are 32 new chamber members who signed up during a recent 7-day membership drive. General membership costs $195 per year, which puts a business on the chamber website. An “enhanced” listing costs an additional $20 and provides a direct link from the chamber website to that of the business.

Chamber members are eligible for group rates through Priority Health, homeowner’s insurance discounts through Auto Owners, and use of the chamber’s bulk mail permit and opportunities to showcase a business by sponsoring “Business After Hours.” social events.
