Garden books author to talk at Nov. 8 event

Lorraine Johnson, an expert on native plants and author of numerous gardening books, will speak at an event, titled Caring for Our Land, on Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Northwest Michigan Horticultural Research Station.

The 8 p.m. event is being hosted by a partnership of the Michigan State University Extension, the Leelanau Conservancy, the Leelanau Conservation District, and the Grand Traverse Regional Conservancy.
