Tickets and a personal visit with the Blue Angels at the 2008 National Cherry Festival are among the dozens of items available for bid at the St. Mary Annual Athletic Auction.
The public is invited to attend the annual event, which will be held at the Sands Showroom in Peshawbestown on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Other items include a week at a 3-bedroom condominium on Sanibel Island, Fla., a complete dinner party for 24 guests, a sunset wine cruise on Lake Michigan with St. Mary Principal Mark Gaubatz, a handmade birch bark canoe with caned seats, and a year’s family membership at the D.H. Warm Pool and Fitness Center.
Also available for bids will be handcrafted jewelry and apparel, certificates to fine restaurants in the area, a framed photo of former Detroit Tigers manager Sparky Anderson, vacations at bed and breakfasts, and a wide selection of food items. Popular services that will be auctioned include carpet cleaning, orthodontic exams, window washing and massages. St. Mary School students are all contributing to the fun raiser with creative class projects such as “Child’s Library,” “Everything for Worship,” “Teen Hang Out,” and “Everything for the Office.”
Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The silent auction tables also open at 6:30 p.m., and the live auction starts at 8 p.m.
Proceeds will be used for the school’s athletic programs and the community playground. A complete list of items available for bid is available at www.stmarysll.org.
