The Leelanau County Commission on Aging will begin offering a new dental assistance program for senior citizens.
According to a news release from commission director Rosie Steffens, the new program includes examinations, X-rays, treatment plans and dental cleanings, among other services.
To qualify for the program, individuals must be at least 60 years old, a resident of Leelanau County, and be at or below 200 percent of the poverty level ($20,420 for an individual or $27,380 for a couple).
