THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING IS A REGULAR SCHEDULED MEETING AND THE TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING IS A SPECIAL MEETING.
THE PURPOSE OF THE TOWNSHIP BOARD SPECIAL MEETING IS TO MEET WITH THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO ENGAGE IN A GENERAL DISCUSSION OF CONCERNS RELATED TO LAND USE AND ZONING MATTERS IN LEELANAU TOWNSHIP.
Supervisor Neve called the Special Leelanau Township Board meeting to order at 7:00PM.
Supervisor Neve recessed the Special Township Board meeting, at 7:02PM, until after the Public Hearing held by the Planning Commission meeting.
Joint meeting of the Township Board and Planning Commission reconvened at 7:31PM.
Board Members present: James Neve, Deb Van Pelt, Denise Dunn, and Gary Fredrickson. Victor Goldschmidt excused.
Also present: Two citizens, three staff.
Discussed fee schedule for various zoning procedures.
Discussed Master Plan review process.
Discussed future amendment procedures to the Zoning Ordinance. Topics to this discussion were Planning Commission identification of concepts and visioning process and Planning Consultant involvement.
Discussed Agricultural District, future possibilities.
Discussed Township capitol improvements and Planning Commission involvement.
Meeting adjourned at 9:35PM.
