Charles W. Maule

1928-2007

Memorial services were held Monday for life long Traverse City area resident Charles William Maule of Elmwood Township who died Oct. 18 at Munson Medical Center. He was 79.
He was born June 27, 1928, the son of William and Hildur (Olson) Maule. On Dec. 31, 1948, he married the former Joan C. Kropp, who survives.

In 1948, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following military service, he was employed by Munson Medical Center, retiring after 34 years of service in the maintenance department. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Also surviving are his four daughters, Barbara (the Rev. Dr. Christopher) Anderson of Muskegon, Patricia (David) Edge of Grawn, Debra Reed of Grawn, Gail (Arnold) Larsen of Buckley, Wash.; two sons, William “Bill” Maule of Traverse City and David Maule of Kingsley; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Catharine.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Blood donations may also be made in his honor.
