After practicing medicine in Leelanau County for 11 years, Mark A. Priest, D.O., is joining a Traverse City medical group as a specialist in Family Practice.

Dr. Priest will begin working at West Front Primary Care, located at 3537 W. Front Street in Traverse City, on Monday, Nov. 5.

For the past several years, Priest has owned and operated the Leelanau Family Care clinic on M-22 in Suttons Bay. The building was previously owned by Munson Healthcare.

Officials of the Village of Suttons Bay and Suttons Bay Township are currently considering purchasing the building from Priest and adapting it for use as a joint government center.

Priest graduated from Michigan State University and completed his residency at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids. He has been in practice for 19 years.
