Two Suttons Bay men have pleaded not guilty to taking money from a locked box at a roadside stand in the Suttons Bay area.
Joshua M. Bailey, 18, of 11075 E. Pobuda Rd., Suttons Bay was arraigned in 86th District Court on Friday before Judge Michael J. Haley on a misdemeanor charge of breaking and entering of a coin box. A pretrial meeting is scheduled for Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. Bailey is currently free on bond.
Bailey’s alleged accomplice, Ronnie C. Korson, 31, of 994 S. Herman Rd., also pleaded not guilty on Oct. 19 in 86th District Court. His pretrial meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, the men allegedly forced open a locked coin box located at 1505 S. W. Bay Shore Dr., the site of a roadside fruit and vegetable stand.
County Prosecutor Joseph T. Hubbell said it is not known how much money was stolen.
Both Bailey and Korson face a maximum penalty of up to six months in jail and or $750 in fines.
