A Northport woman is organizing a community effort to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for those not able to fix one for themselves.

Donna Brown of the Treasure Chest is putting together the dinner plan, and has contacted churches for names of people who may need the service. Anyone who knows of a family or someone in need may contact Brown at 386-5597.

Brown is also seeking volunteer help in transporting food and people for the dinner.
