Three students from Leelanau County were among the graduates of Ferris State University for the semester that ended in August.
Nathaniel Gray of Empire earned a bachelor of science in business, and majored in accounting. Hillary Haenlein of Lake Leelanau earned a bachelor of science in business, and majored in music industry management. And Sergey Bogomolov of Maple City earned a certificate degree with a major in international business.
Ferris also announced that five students from Leelanau received academic honors for the semester that ended in August. They include Gray, Dana Boomer, Ruth Gilmer, and Sarah Habegger, all of Empire; and Stacey Herman of Suttons Bay. To be eligible for academic honors, students were required to have at least a 3.5 grade point average.
