The St. Mary School Class of 2010 will host a Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale on Sunday, Dec. 9 in the church social hall.
Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A goodwill donation will be appreciated.
Proceeds will benefit the class members’ upcoming school program, For God and Country: A Washington D.C. Citizenship Experience. Estimated expenses for the trip to the national’s capital are $13,645. in addition to paying a portion of their own expenses, students are conducting fundraisers and accepting donations to raise the needed money. As part of the social justice and citizenship experience, students and chaperones will also participate in the national March for Life. A second component involves history and governmental studies, and students will also have the opportunity to visit monuments, tour the Smithsonian museums, and attend Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
This will be the sixth year that St. Mary students have had this opportunity.
Sophomore class officers are Kayla Schaub, president; Christy Miller, vice-president; Bradford Schaub, secretary; and Kelsey Collins, treasurer. The class advisor is Peggy Hanford.
