Santa Claus will visit in Leland Sunday, Dec. 2, as part of the annual Leelanau Community Christmas celebration.
The festivities begin at 5 p.m. at the Village Green with the lighting of the Christmas tree and community caroling in preparation for Santa’s arrival with “Christmas Carol” on a fire truck
The group will then follows Santa down Main Street to the Old Art Building, where Santa will talk to each of the children and listen to their gift request.
Everyone in the community is invited to attend — parents, grandparents, children, and older kids. Santa’s elves will help the young ones decorate Christmas cookies with frosting and sparkles. Hot chocolate, hot cider and munchies are provided by the Bluebird Restaurant.
The event is sponsored by the Leland Women’s Civic Club and the Leland Community Improvement Association.
