Bob and Gail Koch were on Nov. 9, 1957
Bob and Gail Koch of Commerce Township, Mich., and Omena celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 9.
Robert Koch of Detroit and the former Gail Southwell of Omena were marred on Nov. 9, 1957 at Grace Episcopal Church in Traverse City by the Rev. Francis Foley.
The Kochs lived in the Detroit area, where Mr. Koch was an engineer in the automotive and aircraft business. Mrs. Koch, as well as being a homemaker, worked for 10 years as an artist in a photo studio.
The couple had two children, a son, Ronald, who died in an accident in 1969; and a daughter, Kathleen, who lives in West Bloomfield with her husband Paul and their two sons, and Paul’s two children.
The Kochs celebrated their anniversary with family and friends at a “1950s-style” theme party on Oct. 20 at the Milford (Mich.) Senior Center.
