Award-winning poet Jack Ridl will conduct a workshop for novice and experienced writers on Dec. 6 at Northwestern Michigan College's University Center.
The 2-hour event, sponsored by Michigan Writers Inc., will feature Ridl, a Hope College professor, guiding participants in writing a new poem.
Ridl is the author of two full-length collections and three chapbooks, including Outside the Center Ring, from Puddinghouse Publications; a collection of circus poems published in 2006, and Against Elegies, which was selected for the 2001 Chapbook Award from The Center for Book Arts in New York.
Ridl’s workshop, part of Michigan Writers’ ongoing writing workshop series, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room R at the University Center. No registration is required and all are welcome.
