Fire and rescue departments in Leelanau County may be a long way from overcoming all of the challenges they face - but representatives of 10 of the county's 11 townships appeared interested in stepping forward together in that direction during a county-sponsored meeting last week.
There will be a public hearing on the proposed budget for the calendar year, 2008, at the regular Board Meeting of the Glen Lake Community Library on December 12, 2007, at 1:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Glen Lake Community Library in Empire.
The Leelanau Township Board of Review will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Township Office, 119 E. Nagonaba, Northport, Mich., at 9:00 a.m. 231-386-5138.
