Michigan State University Extension will hold its annual Farm Income Tax Update on Friday afternoon at the Northwest Michigan Horticultural Research Station in Bingham Township.
Larry Borton of MSU’s Agricultural Economics department will be covering various income tax changes affecting farms for 2007 during the program, which begins at 2:30 p.m. He will also provide suggestions for income tax planning.
Farmers and their tax preparers are encouraged to attend so they become aware of all the components that can affect agriculture tax returns.
The $10 per-person cost, which is payable at the door, covers room fees, handouts and refreshments.
