The girls from Omena’s Club 21 will be at Tendercare in Suttons Bay on Dec. 24. Recently, they got together to assemble gifts for the residents. They placed candy in small boxes made out of old Christmas cards by Club 21 members. A great idea, and the residents at Tendercare love having company. The fun starts at 2 p.m. and will include a visit by Santa.

Are you finished shopping yet? Yeah, me too! Only I have a little more than some – Mary’s birthday is just before Christmas. So happy birthday, Mary Coste. Another year wiser.

This is the season for sharing and caring, and one can only hope it carries over for the entire year. Hope you all enjoy a safe and happy holiday season.

• Sunday, Dec. 16, is the annual community caroling in Suttons Bay. Gather in front of the Bay Theatre at 6 p.m. The group will stroll through the village, and then over to Tendercare. Call 256-2908 for more information.
