Jeremy S. Farris, 37, of 1262 Harvest E., Traverse City, was scheduled to appear for the Friday meeting on a charge of taking more than $200 and less than $1,000 by using false pretenses. Judge John D. Foresman issued a bench warrant for Farris’ arrest, but assigned no bond amount.
According to court documents, Farris appeared in 86th District Court in Grand Traverse County on Monday, and pleaded not guilty to the charge. He is free after posting 10 percent of a $1,000 bond. Another pretrial meeting is scheduled for Friday in Leland at 9 a.m.
