1925-2007
A funeral service was held Friday in New Baltimore for Suttons Bay native Paul J. Kolarik who died Dec. 3 in New Baltimore. He was 82.
He was born in Suttons Bay on Oct. 16, 1925. His wife, Mary D. Kolarik, survives.
He served in the Army during World War II. He became a permanent resident of New Baltimore in 1955. He retired in 1990 as a vice president of Citizens State Bank after 35 years of employment.
Also surviving are his children, Mary (Larry) Schwartz of New Baltimore, Paulette Balk of Commerce Township, John (Angela) Kolarik of New Baltimore, Kathleen (Peter) Gietzen of Clinton Township and William (Linda) Kolarik of Imlay City; siblings, Veronica (John) West of Flint, Emma Couturier of Wayne, Agnes McWethy of Traverse City, Morris (Dorothy) Kolarik of Traverse City, Rita (Jerry) Radecki of Kinross, Jerome (Mary Ann) Kolarik of Suttons Bay and Jane (Dick) Beaudry of Ann Arbor; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the St. Mary Cemetery in New Baltimore. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Mary’s Church, 50931 Maria, New Baltimore, MI 48047.
