1926-2007

Memorial services were held Dec. 7 in Dearborn for former Glen Lake resident Winifred J. Esper who died Dec. 1. She was 81.

She was born in 1926. Her husband, Donald, preceded her in death.

She and her husband were part-time residents of Glen Lake throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s; and made Glen Lake their permanent home in the 1990’s. They were members of St. Philip Neri Church in Empire and Divine Child Catholic Church in Dearborn. At one time they owned and operated Tiffany’s Ice Cream Store in Empire.

She is survived by her children, David (Diane), Jane Lesage, Scott (Gayle), Dale (Diane), Julie Vollman, Edie (Kevin) Beard, Jeff (Karen) and Donald Jr. (Anita); a sister, Suzanne Papke; a brother, Arthur Kuhn Jr.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
