The sounds of gospel, folk and classical music will fill the air at the Omena Presbyterian Church Sunday evening when the Omena Holiday Serenade takes place.
The Omena Holiday Serenade, Celebrating the Season in Omena is an annual holiday music event held in the historic church along M-22 in Omena. The performances start at 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the show, which is sponsored by the Omena Historical Society, will be used for operation of the Putnam-Cloud-Tower House. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Tamarack Gallery in Omena, or by calling 386-5529.
The evening will feature performances by county gospel artists Mary and Marshall Collins; guitarists Mike Moran and Steve Stanon; fiddle player Ruby John; cellist Eva Lymenstull and pianist Thomas J. Lymenstull; the Boyer family of Traverse City with Ellen and Alli on violin, Jonas on bass, and Carla on harp; soprano Karen Remington with Donna Brunsma accompanying on piano; and the Trillium Quartet with Alyca Basch, Susan Day, Melissa Stole and Candice Wallace.
The evening’s performances will be capped with an audience sing-a-long to Deck the Halls and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
