Michigan Community Blood Centers has recognized five Leelanau County residents for achieving new blood donation gallon levels during November.
Donald Montie of Northport has donated 10 gallons of blood. Bonnie Black of Northport has donated eight gallons.
Donald Gregory of Suttons Bay has donated four gallons of blood. Kathleen Utting of Suttons Bay and Heidi Pentiuk of Leland have each donated one gallon.
Michigan Community Blood Centers is the independent, non-profit blood bank that provides 100-percent of the regular blood supply to local hospitals in four major regions of the state including Munson Medical Center.
