Two students with Leelanau County ties earned dean's list recognition at the colleges they attend.

Christy (Mara) Suttmann of Leland was named to the dean’s list at DePaul University for fall quarter 2007. To receive dean’s list commendation, full-time students must earn a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4-point scale. DePaul is located in Chicago.

Robert A. Buffum, son of Mark and Patty Buffum of Bingham Township, was listed on the dean’s list at Westwood College. He is studying computer and game programming through the school, located in Denver.

Buffum, a 2007 Suttons Bay graduate, is the grandson of Barbara Buffum and the late Robert R. Buffum of Suttons Bay.
