LEELANAU TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
The Leelanau Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 7:00 pm in the Township Hall, located at 119 E. Nagonaba Street, Northport, MI, 49670, to receive public comment on proposed zoning ordinance amendments as follows:

An ordinance to amend the Leelanau Township Zoning Ordinance by the amendment of Article 10 – Administration, Permits and Appeals for compliance with the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, by the amendment of Sections 10.2.A.2 & 3 deleting zoning administrator eligibility and duties (contained in Board approved Job Description); by the amendment of Section 10.3.B to add a statement requiring copies of other permits as may be required by other agencies; by the amendment of Section 10.4.A-D clarifying Zoning Board of Appeals administration and procedures, describing membership requirements, outlining appeal and hearing requirements and criteria for variance requests; by the amendment of Section 10.7.A.1-7, adding criteria for the rezoning of parcels located within the Township; by adding Section 10.8.A-E clarifying public notice requirements; and by the repeal of all ordinance or parts of ordinance in conflict herewith.
