A meeting schedule through January 2009 was set along with this year's Annual Meeting at Tuesday's gathering of the Cleveland Township Board.

Board members will continue to meet at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the township hall. Meetings will be held: Feb. 12, March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, Aug. 12, Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, Dec. 9 –all in 2008 – and Jan. 13, 2009.

This year’s Annual Meeting of township inhabitants will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 22, township Supervisor Tim Stein said.

In other business during the first meeting of the calendar year Stein reported:

• Bill Olsen is not seeking reappointment to the Planning Commission. His term expires next month;

• This month’s meeting of the local Michigan Townships Association chapter will be held Jan. 16 in Empire.
