Thom Pritz of Elmwood Township is the new local sales manager of WPBN-TV 7 & 4 in Traverse City.

He began his new position Monday.

Pritz started his broadcast career at WWMT in Kalamazoo in the early 1990s. He works in sales management at KDHL in Duluth, Minn., from 1998-2002 and at WPBN in Traverse City from 2002-2005.

“Thom brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the staff,” said vice president and general manager Jill Saarela. “He has a successful history with the station and is well know and respected in the market.”

Pritz and his wife, Jane, have been married for 22 years. Their daughter attends Northwestern Michigan College and their son is a junior at Suttons Bay High School.

WPBN/WTOM TV 7 & 4 is owned and operated by Barrington Broadcasting Group, LLC. Barrington owns 21 televisions states in 15 geographically-diverse markets.
