Happy birthday, Taylor Wilcox.

Found in my door “happy birthday to Barrie Dillon Riday,” who has been visiting our area since she first arrived at the Day’s dock on the boat the Manitou in 1918. She rode the train to Day’s mill at the mill pond, then a short wagon ride to the cottages of her parents, Frank and Alice Dillon. She married Jack Riday 67 years ago and visited Glen Lake every summer except the war years. Barrie lives in Seattle and is part of the Glen Arbor artists in the summer. She is also the sister of Ananda Bricker.

Dave Taghon was the speaker at the Glen Arbor Women’s Club meeting held at Nancy Killen’s house, with Dotti Thompson and Linda Peppler the hostesses.

Be careful on the ice.
