LEELANAU TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION

The Leelanau Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at 7:00 pm in the Township Hall, 119 E. Nagonaba Street, Northport, MI to receive public comment on zoning ordinance amendments as follows:

Amendment of the Leelanau Township Zoning Ordinance by repealing the current text of Article 13, PLANNED SITE OPTIONS and replacing it with a new Article 13, OPEN SPACE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS, in compliance with Public Act 110 of 2006, Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, for the purpose of encouraging rural and suburban home sites which are sensitive to the natural environment and character of the Township. There will also be adjunct housekeeping amendments made to Article 2 – Definitions, Article 5 – Residential Districts, Article 6 – Governmental District, Article 11 – Site Plan Review, and corrections to any other reference to PSO.
