BEN HERMAN, the son of Mike and Jackie Herman of Suttons Bay, was one of 19 students from Northern Michigan University who spent their first week of Christmas break working on Habitat for Humanity homes in New Orleans. Herman is studying construction management at NMU and is a member of the Northern Michigan Constructors Club, whose focus is construction-related to community service projects
