Funeral services and burial with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on March 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. for former Northport resident Col. George Dewey “Pete” VanHuss Jr. (Ret.), who died Dec. 31, 2007 in Alabama. He was 80.
He was born Aug. 26, 1927. His wife, Marilyn VanHuss, survives.
Also surviving are his daughters, Judith A. (David) Hawker of Miami, Fla., and Nancy VanHuss of Cary, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
