The Northport Area Heritage Association will host a presentation on preserving historic photos and slides by using computer equipment on Thursday, Jan. 31 at Northport Public School.
Al Noftz, a retired teacher and technology aficionado, will talk about the easy and more difficult ways to save and organize photos and slides. He will also discuss equipment and available software, including free programs. Attendees will get hands-on experience at the computer and should bring a few old photos to scan and work with during the evening.
The class starts at 7 p.m. and will be held in the school’s computer lab. The class will be limited to 30 people. To reserve a seat call Noftz at 386-9936. The class is free, but donations are appreciated.
