The Women's Resource Center's biggest annual fundraising event, Extravaganza, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa in Acme.

Proceeds from this year’s event –“Extravaganza 2008: Dreams of Paradise” – will benefit the center’s programs and services for victims of domestic and sexual abuse. The center’s 5-county service area includes Leelanau, and it also has an office in Lake Leelanau.

Tickets for the tropical-themed event are $125. The night will include a cash bar beginning at 6 p.m., a gourmet dinner at 7 p.m., a raffle, silent auction, and music from the Chicago band Impulse.
