THE NORTHPORT Lions Club welcomed three new members who were inducted at the Jan. 23 dinner meeting. Ty and Kathy Wessell (left), and Doug Scripps (right) were sworn in at the meeting. Also pictured is Lions International zone chairman Richard Daniels, and Merilee Scripps. The Northport Lions Club holds a number of fundraising activities each year, such as the Eye Catcher Barn Sale Barn and the Fly-in/Drive-in Breakfast. The club raises about $10,000 annual for local causes, including prescription drug programs, eye health programs, and student scholarships.
