ANNA, the gorilla who for years occupied the front window of Edward’s Home Furnishings in Suttons Bay, has a new home at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio. Gary A. Carnes, a frequent visitor to Leelanau County, purchased the bronze cast and donated it to the zoo in memory of his wife, Victoria. Anna is pictured with Jack Hannah, the former zoo director and a nationally syndicated television host. The Columbus Zoo is known as the first facility in the world to successfully breed gorillas in captivity.
