MSU professor plans lecture on landscaping

Art Cameron of Michigan State University's Department of Horticulture will host a lecture, "Landscaping in Tune with Nature," on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Great Lakes Campus of Northwestern Michigan College.

The program, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will cover the principles and practices of naturalistic gardening as well as provide an overview of the essential plants for creating unique, sustainable landscapes in Michigan. Cameron is a professor of horticulture at MSU, where he teaches and conducts research on herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses and other garden plants.

The event, sponsored by the Master Gardener Association of Northwest Michigan, is open to the public. Admission is $25 per person, or $45 for two people who register together.
