1919-2008

Services were held in Six Lakes, Mich., for Maple City native Helen Eleanore (Bloswick) Elmer who died Jan. 15 at her home in Six Lakes. She was 88.

She was born Jan. 25, 1919, on the family farm in Maple City, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Brzenki) Bloswick.

She was raised in the Maple City area and attended the Kasson School. She attended the Church of the Gentle Shepherd in Six Lakes.

She is survived by two sons, Gene (Patrice) Elmer of St. Ignace, and Bob (Sandra) Elmer of Greenville; a sister, Clara Bumgardner of Maple City; and former husband Floyd Elmer of Florida.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Bloswick; and four sisters, Isabel, Winnie, Esther and Mary.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Church of the Gentle Shepherd building fund.
