Supervisor, James Neve called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.
Board members present: James Neve, Denise Dunn, Deb Van Pelt and Gary Fredrickson. Trustee Victor Goldschmidt arrived at 7:40PM. Also present: seven citizens and three staff members.
Public comment: Rep. Ray Franz running for State Representative and his campaign manager Jennifer Smeltzer introduced themselves to the Board.
Agenda set as amended.
Approved December 22, 2007 minutes as amended.
Approved the current bills in the amount of $89,814.35.
Monthly reports were received from Fire Department: Hugh Cook, & NEMS: Pat Burguard.
Approved Professional Services Contract with Carroll Cleaning.
Approved 2008-2009 Leelanau Township Board Meeting Schedule.
Approved request to sell a cemetery lot back to Leelanau Township.
Approved endorsement of the Grand Traverse Band for funds for Discovery Center and Charter Bird Sanctuary.
Approved leave of absence without pay for Zoning Administrator from January 23, 2008 through March 14, 2008.
Approved the 2008-2009 Salary Resolution.
Approved Carla Hammersley’s PSO Open Space Agreement.
Discussed Utility Authority Budget
Discussed and approved Summer Tax Collection for Northport, Leland & Suttons Bay Public School Districts for $2.50 per parcel.
Public Comment was heard from Joan Jackson and Arnie Zeits.
Correspondence was received from a visitor complimenting the beautiful condition and upkeep of Peterson Park.
