An open house celebrating the retirement of Judy Egeler, who is stepping down after 40 years of service to the Leelanau Conservation District, will be held on Friday, Feb. 8.

The event is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Conservation District office, located at 223 W. Philip in Lake Leelanau. Also on hand for the open house will be Bernard (Buzz) Long, who is replacing Egeler as executive director.
