Sunday at the Great Lakes Children's Museum in Greilickville will feature a printmaking workshop with local artist and educator Mary Keenan.
Children will explore the process of making prints on paper and fabric using natural materials and Gyotaku (the Japanese art of making prints from fish), as well as creating their own images to print. The workshop will be offered in two sessions, beginning at 1:05 and 1:50 p.m.
Activities are appropriate for children 3 and up. However, children under 6 will need adult assistance to complete their projects.
“Funday Sunday” programs are supported by a grant from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs and by the Dennos Museum Center. They are free with admission to the museum. For more information, call 932-4526.
