A Special Township Board Meeting
The state Bureau of Construction Codes is putting the heat on Leelanau County to take "immediate enforcement action" at the troubled BayView condominium complex in Suttons Bay, where state inspectors in November uncovered code violations on furnace and water heater terminations throughout the project and a fire supression system in at least one BayView building.
Time spent pitting and freezing cherries last summer is paying off for Armanda Krantz of Suttons Bay.
Even with a 65-16 lead by halftime, the clock was not a friend to Leland in its game Tuesday with Traverse City Christian - or at least the Comets' hopes of breaking the 100-point barrier.
Leland picked off one of its conference-leading rivals Friday, and has a chance to move another one off the logjam at the top of Northwest Saturday when it hosts Kingsley.
