The Inland Seas Education Association (ISEA) will soon begin construction of its fifth Abenaki 16-foot cedar strip/fiberglass canoe in the ISEA boat shop in Suttons Bay.
Adults are being invited to work with Suttons Bay High School students to assemble and finish the canoe.
There is no charge for the class and no woodworking experience is necessary. The class will meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m., beginning next week.
ISEA is a non-profit organization based in Suttons Bay, dedicated to science education on the Great Lakes. For more information, call 271-3077 or visit www.schoolship.org online.
