A listing of building permits issued by the Leelanau County Building Inspections department is not being published in the Leelanau Enterprise this week because

files available for public review had been packed up last week and were being moved from Leland to the new Leelanau County Government Center in Suttons Bay Township.

Because of the time of year, bad weather, and an overall downturn in construction activity, it was expected that only a few building permits had been issued over the two-week reporting period spanning the end of January and beginning of February. A full report on building permits issued over a four-week period will be published in this newspaper in the Feb. 28, 2008 edition.
