1930-2008

Funeral services were held Monday at First Church of the Nazarene in Traverse City for Richard Gale Arnold of Traverse City who died Feb. 7 at Maple Valley Nursing Home. He was 77.

He was born on Oct. 7, 1930, in Acme, to George and Lorena Arnold. On Dec. 20, 1954, he married Virginia Slatter of Traverse City, who survives.

He was employed at Traverse City Public Schools as a custodian before his retirement. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene for more than 50 years.

Also surviving are his son, Terry (Susan) Arnold of Lake Ann and David Arnold of Interlochen; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be directed to First Church of the Nazarene-Missions, 1023 South Division, Traverse City, MI 49684.
