1928-2008

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 14, at the Holy Rosary Parish in Isadore, for Theresa M. Peplinski, formerly of Cedar, who died Feb. 9 at Munson Medical Center. She was 79.

She was born March 28, 1928, in Cedar, the daughter of Stanislaus and Mary (Darga) Peplinski.

She was a life long member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Isadore where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society. She was also a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church for 10 years. She volunteered for church fund raisers and was a top raffle ticket sales woman.

She is survived by her sisters, Sophie Laskey of Cedar, Eugenia “Jean” Lawson of Suttons Bay, Sue Garthe of Traverse City, Margaret Skeba of Lake Leelanau and Rita Gomes of California; a brother, John Peplinski; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Edwin, Clement, Benedict and Stanley Peplinski, Leona Kasben and Elizabeth Zielinski.

Burial will be in the spring in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Isadore. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mass Intentions, St. Mary’s School, P.O. Box 340, Lake Leelanau, MI 49653; and/or Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Second St., Traverse City, MI 49684.
