Art instructors sought to teach classes

The Leelanau Community Cultural Center (LCCC) is seeking art instructors to teach classes at the Old Art Building in Leland.

Adult art classes may be scheduled year-round, while children’s classes are from June 25 through Aug. 12.

Applications are also being accepted for the annual Artists’ Market on July 12.

Prices for a 10-x-10-foot booth are $75 on the front lawn, $100 inside the building, and $60 in the annex. Last year, there were 70 booths with an estimated attendance of 2,000.

The LCCC is also accepting applications for the 8th annual Fiber Festival on Oct. 10-11. All items must be original, conceived and executed by the applicant. The exhibition will be limited to pieces in the following categories: paper, baskets, wearable art, weaving, quilt making, textile murals and knitting.

Further information is available by calling Judy Livingston at 256-2131.
