Leelanau County Board of Commissioners chairman Robert Hawley of Glen Arbor will be the featured speaker Monday at the Leland Lodge during a brunch sponsored by the Republican Women of Leelanau County.

Hawley will talk about the “state of the county” and give an update on the 10 goals and objectives for 2008 set by the county board that include 9-1-1 funding, disposition of the Maple Valley Nursing Home and Leland courthouse properties, and county-wide emergency services.
